Harlan - Civil War Soldier GPS Coordinates: 41.657800 by -95.318533
This is a large impressive monument on the south side of Courthouse Square. According to historical information, it is constructed of the finest Barre granite and weighs 180,000 pounds. It is 52 feet high. The soldier is much larger than life size. It was erected in 1916. The first photo was taken 12/17/07 - the final two were taken 6/29/18.
