Forest City - Civil War Soldier - GPS Coordinates: 43.263016 by -93.638650

This is a very striking and unusual monument with a painted soldier on an intricate fountain. The soldier is made of zinc. It is located on the Courthouse Square. There is also an impressive veterans area on the Square with black granite monuments with names of those who served in all wars including Civil War veterans. There is also a Sherman Tank on the Square. Photos taken 8/2/09.
